Our mission
Most of the big lessons of early childhood — being kind, taking turns, sticking with something hard, remembering what you've been taught — are easier to live than to lecture. A four-year-old rarely takes direction on "self-regulation," but they will happily follow a brave superhero dog who learns the same thing one page at a time.
That's the whole idea behind Super Silver Academy. We turn social and emotional skills into stories children actually want to hear again and again, so the lesson arrives wrapped in a giggle rather than a telling-off. Our aim is simple: help parents raise kind, focused, resilient kids — and make bedtime a little easier while we're at it.
The Silver books
Every Silver book is a "superhero training" story. Silver the Super Pup meets a friend who's struggling with something real — being greedy, getting distracted, forgetting things — and learns, alongside them, a skill that genuinely works. Each book is written for children roughly aged 3–7 and ends with a quotable piece of wisdom kids can carry into the playground. Our published titles are:
- Sharing Silver — a story about kindness, sharing and making things right. Silver shows a greedy dog named Bandit that "the world is like a mirror — it reflects back what you give."
- Focused Silver — a story about the superpower of focus: deciding where your attention goes, climbing the mountain one step at a time, and turning "I can't" into "I can't yet."
- Silver and the Forgetful Robot — a story about memory, in which Silver teaches a robot the real techniques memory champions use: silly connections, the memory palace, and "watering" ideas so they stick.
We have more Silver stories in the works. We only ever list a book here once it's actually published and available to read.
What we believe about teaching kids
A few principles run through everything we make:
- Show, don't scold. Children learn habits by watching characters they love, not by being corrected. Silver makes mistakes too, and that's the point.
- One skill, one story. Each book does one job well — sharing, focus, memory — so the lesson is clear enough for a small child to actually take away.
- Respect the parent. The grown-up reading aloud is doing the real work. We write stories adults don't mind reading for the hundredth time, and we back them up with free, practical guides.
- Keep it honest. Where our parenting guides mention how children develop, we stick to what's widely supported and say plainly when something is general guidance rather than a hard rule.
Who's behind Super Silver Academy
We're a small, independent studio — not a big publisher. Everything here is made by people who care about children's social-emotional learning and wanted picture books that teach these skills without ever feeling like a lesson. We're not a substitute for a teacher, doctor or therapist; we're storytellers trying to make the everyday work of raising kind, capable kids a little lighter.
